A new library location to better accommodate and serve the Coquitlam community. The City of Coquitlam purchased the ground floor of a city-central building and renovated one floor plus mezzanine space to triple the size of the library’s previous location. JM&C provided consultation on colour scheme and furnishings, and assisted the project architect with library design and layout, as well as delivery and installation of the library furnishings. This project brought in BCI Radius Shelving from Denmark, most of it on casters to allow for easy reconfiguration. JM&C played a key role in creating and arranging a dedicated children’s area, multipurpose rooms and computer rooms, and a fireplace lounge and seating areas throughout the library.
